E-Waste Fundraising with OK Green
Ok Green, ECS Refining, and KOVR-CBS13/KAMX-CW31 have teamed up to provide businesses, public and commercial, the opportunity to help the environment, their customers, the neighborhood community and their image by providing electronic e-waste events.
These events are popular because they help generate new costumer awareness and foot traffic to your store site or venue. It helps you build a "green" image and promotes recycling to keep hazardous electronics out of landfills and dumps.
Why ECS Refining?
ECS Refining is one of a handful of BAN (Basel Action Network) founding members who abide to a strict set of guidelines in the recycling of e-waste materials. 100% of all e-waste collected is processed in the United states. These materials are dismantled down to their commodity form (i. e. glass, plastic, copper, aluminum, etc.) in one of our state of the art facilities.
ECS Refining never sends whole electronic items overseas.
In addition, all hard drives from collected computers are shredded or "wiped" to government standards to ensure business and personal information is never compromised.
How does it work?
Organizations provide a parking lot where cars can drop off their e-waste items. OK Green provides the trucking, forklift, cones, pallets, log sheets and personnel to direct, collect log sheet customer information (required by the state for CRT devices TV’s/ computer monitors) unload and move through the cars in a fast, efficient, and professional manner. We then hand them a coupon, donated gift/handout/trinket/sponsor item if applicable.
During the event our trained staff and volunteers will ensure all aspect of compliance with your corporate desires and needs are satisfied. this includes items like cleanliness, set up take down times, any site protocol or rules and regulations.
A pre site inspection and layout is required to insure a smooth event process so you can increase potential foot traffic and new customers. A percentage of the money made will be sent to your company. This money can be used for whatever you desire. Most of the organization uses this money to support local or national non-profit orginizations.
